Hairstyles for Wavy Hair

Short hair doesn’t have to mean dull; here’s how you can style your waves differently.

Waterfall braid

The waterfall braid is braided along the hairline, slowly descending to the back of the head. To start, make a side part and grab three small parts of hair at the front. Taking the hair portion that is closest to the hairline, cross it over the middle section; cross the third section over the new middle section, leaving the original middle section hanging to make the waterfall effect. Cross the other two sections once and repeat the procedure – grab a new piece of hair from above the braid as you go and drop it down the middle. Tighten the braid at desired length beneath the hair using hairpins.

The key to making a great fishtail is to take a smaller part each time. If you find it difficult to braid, think of tying hair in a ponytail at the nape before begin to braid, and cut off the hair tie once you are done braiding.
